Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Charmiq iOS application and any related services. By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install the app.

We have not linked a custom End User License Agreement in App Store Connect, so Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app alongside these Terms. Where the two conflict, the Apple agreement controls for matters Apple specifically reserves.

Charmiq is rated 17+ on the App Store because the Flirty Date practice persona includes romantic conversation content. You must be at least 17 to use the app and old enough under your local law to enter into a binding contract. The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Charmiq on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple EULA. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract source code or model weights from the app, except where local law explicitly permits it.

Coach Pro is a renewable subscription billed through Apple. Two plans are available:

Weekly — $9.99

Billed weekly. Includes a free trial for first-time subscribers. Cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Annual — $79.99

Billed once for the full year. Equivalent to roughly $1.54 per week. Cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Subscriptions auto-renew at the rate above until cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The renewal charge appears on your Apple ID on the date shown in the paywall and in the App Store receipt. Refunds are handled by Apple under their published refund policy; we cannot issue Apple refunds directly.

Restore Purchases is available on every paywall and inside Settings, so a subscription you bought on another device can be brought back without paying twice.

You own the voice recordings, transcripts, and notes you create in Charmiq. By using the app you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process that content solely to operate Charmiq for you — for example, to send a clip to a model provider so we can return a score, or to store it in your account so you can replay it later. The Privacy Policy describes who processes what and for how long.

We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train third-party foundation models, and we do not publish your content. Aggregated, de-identified usage signals may be used to improve the product.

You agree not to use Charmiq to:

• Record another person's voice without their knowledge and consent.
• Submit content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or features that are not yours.
• Probe, scan, or stress-test our infrastructure or model providers.
• Use the app to build a competing product or training dataset.

Charmiq is a coaching tool — not speech therapy or medical advice.

The Charisma Score, drills, AI feedback, and live conversation features are entertainment and self-improvement tools. They are not a substitute for a licensed speech-language pathologist, therapist, coach, doctor, or other professional. If you have a clinical concern about your voice or communication, please see a qualified professional.

Charmiq uses third-party services to deliver its features: Google (Gemini) for post-conversation summaries and analysis; ElevenLabs for real-time voice in live conversation; Apple Speech Recognition for transcription; Supabase for backend infrastructure; RevenueCat for subscriptions; Superwall for paywall A/B testing; and PostHog for product analytics. The Privacy Policy names what each of them processes. Their own terms govern their portion of the service.

Sign in with Apple is offered as required by App Store Review Guideline 4.8. If you use Apple's email relay, we receive only the relay address.

You can stop using Charmiq at any time and delete your account from Settings → Privacy → Delete account. Cancelling a Coach Pro subscription is done through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms — for example by attempting to abuse the service, infringe someone else's rights, or evade our safety controls. Where reasonable, we will notify you first.

Charmiq is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the app or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to us for Coach Pro in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Charmiq's operating entity is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes — subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the app on next launch, and the updated date at the top of the page will move forward. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.
